The Story So Far...

Lisa Hurley Design is a textile and mural studio based in rural East Sussex, where she designs eclectic, modern textiles and creates vibrant hand-painted murals — from bold large-scale statements to playful home pieces that bring colour and creativity to every space.

"I began coming up with design ideas in the 2020 lockdown, and have grown the company from there to the present day.

My inspirations are many and varied, drawing on ancient and historical pottery, art and textiles as well as more modern themes such as expressionist art, arts and crafts, fabulously kitsch pop culture, and the simple beauty of nature.

My design ethos is very much in line with that of the famous British artist, designer and poet William Morris who said 'Have nothing in your houses that you do not know to be useful or believe to be beautiful'."
